TIM SANDERS

Partner, Deeper Media, Inc.

Tim Sanders spent most of his career on the cutting edge of innovation and change. He was on the ground floor of the quality movement, the launch of the mobile phone industry and, most notably, the birth of the World Wide Web. Today, he’s gravitated to disruptive change for over 30 years. He was an early stage member of Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner’s broadcast.com, which had the largest opening day IPO in history. After Yahoo acquired the company, Tim was tapped to lead their ValueLab, which enabled sales teams to close hundreds of millions of dollars of new business through rapid collaboration.

By 2001, he rose to the position of Chief Solutions Officer and later, the company’s Leadership Coach. In 2005, he founded Deeper Media, which provides consulting and training services for leading companies, trade associations and government agencies.

Tim is the author of five books, including the New York Times bestseller Love Is the Killer App: How To Win Business & Influence Friends. It’s been translated into over a dozen languages and has been featured in Fast Company, USA Today, the New York Times, The Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor and on CNN. His other books include Today We Are Rich, The Likeability Factor, Saving the World at Work and Dealstorming.

He grew up in Clovis, New Mexico, the home of the Fighting Wildcats. He attended Odessa College and Loyola Marymount University, where he was a top ranked debater and national champion extemporaneous speaker. He conducted his graduate work at the University of Arizona. Today he lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.

JOHN DRZIK

President, Global Risks and Digital, Marsh ClearSight

John Drzik is the President of Marsh Global Risk and Digital. Mr. Drzik has global responsibility for the firm’s activities in consulting, captive solutions, data, analytics and digital, and for the Marsh businesses which deliver solutions to small commercial businesses, households and individuals (The Schinnerer Group, Private Client Services, Sponsored/Affinity Programs, Dovetail Insurance, Torrent Technologies). He is also the Chairman of the Global Risk Center for Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Prior to this role, Mr. Drzik was CEO of Oliver Wyman, where he had responsibility for the management consulting business of Marsh & McLennan Companies. He joined Oliver Wyman in 1984, was named Chairman in 2000, and played a key role in establishing the firm’s leadership position in financial services strategy and risk management consulting.

The author of numerous articles on strategy, risk management and insurance, Mr. Drzik is a frequent speaker at conferences and has been invited to present at industry and regulatory events sponsored by the World Economic Forum, Harvard Business School, Geneva Association, and the Financial Times.

Mr. Drzik graduated summa cum laude with a BSE in Engineering Management Systems from Princeton University. He is currently on the Advisory Boards of the International Risk Governance Council, and the Wharton Financial Institutions Center.

SASTRY DURVASULA

Chief Digital Officer and Chief Data & Analytics Officer, Marsh ClearSight

Sastry Durvasula is the Chief Digital Officer and Chief Data & Analytics Officer for Marsh. He leads the strategic design, development, and delivery of Marsh’s digital capabilities, data and analytics, client-facing technology and digital experiences across the firm’s global business. Additionally, he is responsible for Marsh ClearSight, the provider of risk, safety, and claims management software. Sastry and team are chartered with driving digital transformation, unleashing the power of data and analytics, and developing the next generation of insurance platforms to benefit clients, carrier partners and colleagues. This includes building strategic partnerships and Marsh Digital Labs with focus on emerging technologies including Blockchain, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and IoT.

Before coming to Marsh, Sastry was Enterprise Head of Data & Digital Tech at American Express, where he led the launch of the company’s Big Data ecosystem powering the growth agenda with next-gen analytics, machine learning, strategic insights and new business ventures. Sastry and team drove the company’s digital transformation delivering innovative B2C/B2B digital products, partnerships and experiences including -- AmexPay digital wallet, Mobile Payments, Express Checkout, Pay-with-Points, Amex Offers, Vicinity and AskAmex Chatbot. Sastry played an instrumental role in driving the company’s technology, talent and cultural transformation at scale, fostering experimentation, agile development, self-service and open source projects. Examples include enterprise API platform, Communities of Technical Practice, Blockchain and AI Labs.

Prior to Amex, he worked as an IT consultant for leading businesses across the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Sastry plays an active role in leading CDO/CIO industry consortia, passionately connects with academia/research groups, and spearheads the company’s affiliate partnerships. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and is credited with several patents.

JANET DELL

Chief Executive Officer, Marsh ClearSight

Janet Dell is the chief executive officer for Marsh ClearSight, the global leader in risk, safety, and claims management software and a business unit of Marsh. Ms. Dell brings a successful track record in global sales, software design, process improvement, and worldwide client management experience to her role as CEO. Her experience, expertise, and proven leadership throughout her career helps Marsh ClearSight create deeper, more meaningful client relationships that simplify the job of managing risk, safety, and claims through software and services.

Prior to assuming her current role in February 2017, Ms. Dell was the chief operating officer of global sales at Marsh, responsible for building scalable sales operations across 6,000+ colleagues in 500 offices, operating in 132 countries. During her tenure, annual sales topped more than $1.2 billion, and global new business growth doubled.

Ms. Dell also has held various leadership positions with Marsh ClearSight (formerly CS STARS LLC), including eastern zone leader of the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean, global head of client experience, and head of product management. Prior to joining Marsh ClearSight, she held consultant, financial analyst, and fixed-income institutional trading positions.

Ms. Dell has been recognized as a Woman to Watch by Business Insurance magazine and has received several awards for product technology innovation, including the Laureate Award from IDG’s Computerworld Honors Program and the Innovation Award from Business Insurance. Ms. Dell also is a member of the exclusive Marsh President’s Council, which advises the president and CEO of Marsh. She holds a business degree in finance, investments, and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
