Optional Dine-Arounds

On Wednesday and Friday evenings participants are on their own for dinner. We are pleased to recommend a number of restaurants, where we have placed a hold on tables.

Each of these venues will allow a reservation of approximately 10 people at one table for a la carte dining from their regular menu, but you should check the individual restaurant listings for size restrictions.  Reservations vary depending on the restaurant.

Restaurant Location

On Wednesday night the restaurants we recommend are in the Baha Mar complex and are a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Rosewood. On Friday night we have recommended three restaurants off-property. These are approximately 15 minutes by car from the resort.

How to Reserve

Registration for Dine Arounds will begin approximately 60 days prior to departure, but you can always send us an email now to make a reservation for 10 people early.

If you are reserving for a group, please make sure that you have confirmed who is joining your party and indicate all the names on your reservation. This will help us avoid the awkward situation where someone is double booked on more than one dinner reservation.

If you are reserving as a single, a couple or a group smaller than the maximum permitted for a reservation time then we reserve the right to match you with others that are requesting a dinner reservation at the same restaurant at the same time.

A Special Reservation – over 10 people

If you wish to reserve a group larger than 10 at any restaurant then please email us directly at Sonia@travelimpresarios.com and indicate the restaurant, group size and time you wish to reserve. We will contact the restaurant to request a special reservation. Please note that with large groups the restaurant will require you to preselect a fixed menu. Please also note that there is no guarantee that the restaurant will accommodate a larger group.

How do I get there?

For restaurants in Baha Mar you will walk on your own. For off-site restaurants on Friday night we will arrange transportation from the lobby to the restaurant you reserved with us. Please be in the lobby 30 minutes prior to your reservation to ensure you are on your designated shuttle. You are always welcome to arrange your own transportation to your dinner if you prefer.

Friday Night – Large Group Dinner

There is a great large-group dining option at Shuang Ba on Friday night only. We are creating a fixed menu option for a large communal meal for 30 people. Shuang Ba is a fun Chinese restaurant. We will be designing a sampling menu of some of their best dishes. Those that choose this option are really choosing it because they want to be part of a fun collective meal where you surrender your menu choices to us.

Type of Cuisine: Japanese
Location: Baha Mar (on property)
Website: www.sbe.com/restaurants/locations/katsuya-baha-mar
About:
This is a hip, young, vibrant, (and loud) restaurant that is spartan in décor and alive with a young crowd. It was designed by Philippe Starck and is positioned on the edge of the casino. "Master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi offers fresh and original takes on Japanese classics, including miso-marinated black cod and yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno."

Features range from spicy tuna crispy rice (a 10/10 from our tasters), popcorn rock shrimp, and yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, to specialty rolls, tempura and sushi selections and A5 Wagyu Fried Rice. You also don’t want to miss the miso-marinated black cod, Lobster Dynamite and Chilean Sea Bass. There are so many items that it is hard to choose. Combine your food with one of the many signature cocktails like the Burning Mandarin with hand-crushed serrano chilli or The Dragon with yuzu and ginger. Our team gave almost everything here a 10/10!

About:
Solemar is a beautiful beachside venue where the sun touches the sea. Located at Compass Point, this eatery whose name means sun and sea, is a new favourite in the area. It focuses on highlighting the bounty of the sea but also provides a few turf options. With beautiful ocean views from their patio, it’s a great place to take in the sunset.

Our team kicked off with the fried pita and fishroe and beet dip, which received a 10/10. They then dove into the Lobster bites starter (8/10) and moved to the ceviche tacos (10/10). For the mains they loved the fish curry and the local snapper; both 10/10. With great service this seems like a fun new place to try.
