Set out on a scenic river safari through Palo Verde National Park, a wildlife sanctuary home to diverse habitats and an incredible array of species. Glide along the river on a motorboat, spotting aquatic birds, crocodiles, and monkeys in their natural environment.
After the river tour, experience Costa Rican culture firsthand at Hacienda El Viejo. Discover the traditional ox-operated sugar mill, sample handmade tortillas, sip freshly brewed coffee, and taste Guanacaste’s signature corn-based treats. End the experience with a traditional Costa Rican lunch. Note the scenic drive to the Wildlife Sanctuary is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Terms: Cancellations made before Friday, October 17, 2025, will receive a refund minus an administrative fee. After this date, tours are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we will attempt to resell your spot but cannot guarantee availability.
Gratuities: Gratuities are not included for Optional Tours. Tips for tour guides are at your discretion. A tip between $5 - $20 per person for the guide is considered polite.
